HELLO!

I'm Giovanni Scicchitano, a Graphic Designer specializing in marketing and advertising. I have completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree at Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) with a concentration in graphic design, which is quite a different direction than I first expected. Originally I was on the path of filmmaking before I acknowledged a growing interest in visual design outside of video production, which pushed me into the realm of graphic design. This previous work in film, as well as my traveling background, gives me a flexible and adaptive approach during the creative processes, allowing for designs to grow and evolve.During my time at EKU, I served as a Marketing Assistant for EKU Housing and Residence Life, where my work was seen throughout campus and social media, ranging from posters and postcards to Instagram stories.Through my previous work, I've has come to realize a significant interest in the consumer experience and I now actively seek out opportunities within advertising and marketing.

Hi

Let's connect and work on some projects together!

BeezeBerries Brand Identity + Campaign | 2025

Based in Berea, BeezBerries started off with three friends and their passion for healthy living. While starting off with strictly kombucha products, BeezBerries expanded into nutrition bars, elderberry syrup, and more, creating more healthy products to provide to their consumers!I decided to better emphasize the healthy, yet fun, nature of BeezBerries through expanded packaging and advertising. By expanding on their previous brand colors, we created a core identity for the brand that acted as a foundation for the rest of the campaign. While initially starting as physical packaging, I quickly expanded the campaign to include app design and even motion graphics. By branching into both the physical and digital world, I was able to ensure that BeezBerries had a presence in the real-world as well as online.

BeezeBerries Brand Identity + Campaign | 2025

Opening it’s first stall in 2022, Open Window Scents decided to grace Eastern Kentucky with handcrafted soaps the old-fashioned way. Their soaps and other amenities are varied, homemade, and reveal everything nature has to offer.Through my simple, yet memorable, redesigned logo I strive to clearly communicate the brand’s identity as a soap company. I utilized iconography and a clean design to bring forward a sense of togetherness. And through a more thorough exploration of the brand, I expanded Open Window Scents to include posters, labels, and assets / patterns.

First Amendment Week Social Media Campaign + Printed Collateral | 2025

First Amendment Week is an annual tradition for most colleges, and EKU is no exception. This week always has many events, which also means a lot of advertising. Every year, there is a different theme, such as protest or censorship, both which are presented in this campaign.Through my social media campaign and poster design, I embodied the theme within the context of the First Amendment and create engaging design for students. This created not only engaging material that is sure to be eye-catching, but targets the younger audience by being more social media forward. Combined with graphics and motion graphics specifically sized for phones, these designs bring both digital and print collateral to life.

CASA Of Lexington Website Redesign + Campaign | 2025

Court Appointed Social Advocates (CASA) of Lexington is a non-profit organization that volunteers advocates for abused and neglected children. As a non-profit, they often suffer from lacking funds for developed design, which we decided to address in our work.I created a consistent color palette, redesigned the website for easier accessibility, and created some illustrations that not only tie in some more youthful energy, but fits the brand as a whole. Throughout the entirety of this campaign, I ensured that brand cohesion and identity was number one. Keeping consistency throughout all of the deliverables ensures that the brand does not lose interest or look unintentional.

EKU Housing & Residence Life Marketing Materials + Print Collateral | 2025

Housing & Residence Life for Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) is a wide encompassing branch within EKU that includes everything that has to do with living on campus. From on-campus events to flyers and stickers, EKU Housing always has a need for marketing that benefits the on-campus living experience.I strive to create and update materials for EKU Housing that better fits not only the current EKU branding, but the student audience as a whole. By keeping consistent with brand colors, fonts, and assets, I ensured that all collateral looked cohesive and very much "EKU". However, this did not mean that the clean and structured design couldn't also be fun. Events and the printed collateral that followed target younger student audiences specifically, being informational while also catching their attention.

My Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) exhibition explores the world of fashion, design, and philosophy, combining these elements to create an original fashion brand, MORI.MORI gets its name from the latin phrase memento mori, which translates roughly to “...remember you will die”. MORI delves into the philosophy behind this phrase, to live life to the fullest and passionately before the inevitable… And by highlighting the importance of fashion, MORI cultivates self-identity, style, and comfort. While living life to the fullest, it’s best to wear clothes that are of the quality you deserve, right?I used my experience in brand design to create MORI from the ground up, utilizing different software such as Photoshop, Figma, and Illustrator to not only create digital representations of the brand, but also to bring forward physical, tangible products and apparel that is the backbone of the brand. Through dark and neutral colors, combined with repeating type inspired patterns and logos, MORI conveys a sense of designer casual. This brand not only feels like luxury, but conveys style through being casually fashionable. As a thesis project, MORI highlights the connections between message, content, and drive and how these different brand aspects can be married to generate a cohesive identity.
